Fall 2022 Updates / Actualizaciones de Otoño de 2022
With the leaves changing and cooler weather in the air, fall is upon us. With the change in seasons we thought it would be a good time to share some updates on the study.
We have been hard at work over the summer completing a preliminary identification of data sources and writing a brief Narrative based on what we have learned so far. We are just wrapping up edits then it will be off to translation and posted on the website by early November. If you want a sneak peak, come to our next community meeting on October 18th, 2022.
Speaking of which, we hosted our first community meeting on September 20th, 2022. We had residents show up in person and online to learn about what the study is all about. We also shared some brief information and maps about demographics in GES. If you missed the meeting, notes with a link to the presentation can be found under the "Meetings" tab on our website.
Looking at the remainder of the year, we will be having mapping and root cause analysis activities at our community meetings, so make sure to come as they will be interactive. It is about time for us to start thinking about writing the contract for our next phase of work; we need community input during this process so please come to the meetings on the third Tuesday of every month at the CSU Spur Campus.
We will be doing more outreach at community events in the fall and winter and would love to chat. Come say hi if you see us!

Con las hojas cambiando y un clima más fresco en el aire, el otoño está sobre nosotros. Con el cambio de estaciones, pensamos que sería un buen momento para compartir algunas actualizaciones sobre el estudio.
Hemos estado trabajando arduamente durante el verano completando una identificación preliminar de las fuentes de datos y escribiendo una breve narrativa basada en lo que hemos aprendido hasta ahora. Estamos terminando las ediciones, luego se traducirá y se publicará en el sitio web a principios de noviembre. Si desea un adelanto, venga a nuestra próxima reunión comunitaria el 18 de octubre de 2022.
Hablando de eso, organizamos nuestra primera reunión comunitaria el 20 de septiembre de 2022. Hicimos que los residentes se presentaran en persona y en línea para aprender de qué se trata el estudio. También compartimos información breve y mapas sobre la demografía en GES. En cuanto al resto del año, tendremos actividades de mapeo y análisis de causa raíz en nuestras reuniones comunitarias, así que asegúrese de asistir, ya que serán interactivas. Ya es hora de que comencemos a pensar en redactar el contrato para nuestra próxima fase de trabajo; Necesitamos la opinión de la comunidad durante este proceso, así que venga a las reuniones el tercer martes de cada mes en el campus de CSU Spur.
